Teacher Mail Notification
Introduction
With the November release of Hacking-Lab, teachers now have the option to be notified of open solutions via email. This is a long-awaited feature to let teachers know if there are solutions to grade.
The manager in Hacking-Lab can specify teachers individually per sub-event in a curriculum event, so that teachers are not flooded with mails of unnecessary open solutions. Currently the mail is sent daily.
Example
Below you can see an example of a Teacher Mail. The mail contains links to take the recipient directly to the grading application.
Teacher Configuration
The screenshot below shows the teacher configuration of a curriculum event. A curriculum event is a container event that contains further sub-events. As you can see, the user "ibuetlerr" has a different icon than the user "mokafreak". This means that the user "ibuetlerr" is configured as a teacher on all sub-events of this curriculum event. The user "mokafreak", however, has only configured the corresponding teacher rights on one or more sub-events.
Notification Settings
The E-Mail Notification Service sends a mail only to those users who have activated the E-Mail Notification feature in their profile. If the user or teacher has disabled this setting, no emails will be sent.
